Design : Lydia is a 54 foot long 4 berth Cruiser stern narrowboat, perfect for one or two couples. It has a quiet water-cooled diesel engine with simple to use controls.
The stern is a cruiser stern, which gives a reasonably large area for the rear deck, allowing for some of the crew to stand next to the skipper whilst cruising.
Features : There is full radiator central heating on the boat. Also a cosy Woodburning stove in the saloon . A 200 gallon water tank supplies the hot and cold running water. There is carpeting on the cabins and saloon.
Saloon : Saloon with L shaped sofa which converts to a double bed at night, and removable table, in the bow of the boat. Solid fuel stove (fuel included). Radio/CD player; colour TV/DVD player.
Kitchen : The kitchen is fully equipped and has a 4 burner gas cooker with grill and oven; refrigerator; sink and drainer; saucepans; cooking utensils; crockery and cutlery appropriate for the number of berths. There is plenty of storage space and work surfaces.
Berths : At the stern there is a cabin which can be a twin bedded room or a double bed, and in the saloon the sofa bed converts to a double at night.
Bedding : Freshly laundered bedding is supplied for each crew member, as per your requirements. Additional bedding is available upon request. Towels are also supplied - one medium sized towel per crew member, and one hand towel per bathroom.
Bathroom : There is a bathroom with a wash hand basin, electrically operated flush toilet and shower and a 240v shaver socket .
Electric : 12v mobile phone charging point (please remember to bring your own car charging lead). The 2kw inverter supplies 240v electricity to certain appliances and to a socket on the boat. (Please note: if you decide to use any of your own electrical appliances, you do so at your own risk).
Welcome Pack : A welcome pack is provided, consisting of washing-up liquid (x1); dishcloth (x1); tea towel (x1); floor cloth (x1); toilet roll and bin liner.
Additional Information: Tuition, and buoyancy aids, are supplied free of charge, as are helmsman's waterproofs and an umbrella.
