Information
Design : The Eastern and Western Star are 45ft long, 5 berth Cruiser stern Narrowboats, ideal for one or two couples or a small family. Water or air cooled Engines. Single lever direction and speed control.
Features : Oil fired central heating, Pressurised Hot and Cold water to Galley, Shower, Basin & Toilet.
Saloon : 12V Colour television Radio /CD / DVD player (Television reception is poor on the rivers and canals, and whilst there is a TV on board we cannot guarantee reception)
Kitchen : A fully equipped kitchen with a four ring gas hob, oven, grill, fridge and sink / drainer, kettle.
Berths : The rear cabin has a high level single berth that is enclosed at one end, and partially extends over the foot of the permanent double on Eastern.
On Western the single berth has a folding foot which is deployed at night providing a wider than usual single berth .
The double berth is fitted with an interior sprung mattress. The dinette in the saloon provides an optional double bed. Berths are a comfortable 6 foot 2 inches long. Headroom is 6 foot 1 inch approx.
Bedding : Freshly laundered bedding and duvets are supplied for each crew member, as per your requirements. Additional bedding is available upon request.
Bathroom : Bathroom with basin, shower and flush toilet. Pressurised Hot and Cold water to Galley, Showers, Basins & Toilet, electric pump out shower. 240V x 2 Pin shaver point (for shaver only) Electric macerator toilet.
Electric : 12v battery supplied electricity with socket. 240V x 2 Pin shaver point (for shaver only). Cigarette Lighter (To Charge mobile phones) 12V Electric Lighting throughout
Welcome Pack : A welcome pack is provided, consisting of washing-up liquid (x1); dishcloth (x1); floor cloth (x1); toilet roll and bin liner, tea-towels, oven gloves, matches.
Additional Information: Tuition, and buoyancy aids, are supplied free of charge. 12V Hair dryer. Umbrella provided. Smoke and CO2 Detectors.
