Holiday routes Kings Orchard 7 Night Holiday Routes

Here are some suggested routes, where we have planned the route for you and suggest stops and attractions to look at, and towns to have a browse around. We have also planned where you can moor each night, usually near a pub!, and how many hours it takes to get to each place, and where you should turn the boat and make your way back to the Marina.

The route summary includes the total amount of time needed to do the trip, so from the time you leave the marina to the time you get back, and the total amount of locks/bridges etc for the whole route which on a 'there and back' trip is half the number of locks each way!

The summary also tells you the recommended holiday duration that you need to do the route- eg 3 nights which is 4 days cruising.

You do not have to follow this route, and you can simply moor wherever you like (but see our FAQ's), and if you see somewhere you would like to stop and have a look around you can stop off and spend a few hours.

The pace you go is up to you, some cruisers will cruise from dawn to dusk and go twice as far as our suggested routes, some will only go a few miles and just keep stopping to fish, or paint, or just while away the hours taking in the scenery and wildlife.
